per sentirmi meno solo
e per non sapere più quanti anni ho.

vendo sogni per mestiere
canto pure le canzoni che non so.
Mi basta avere gli occhi chiusi
per fotografare il mondo
e per guardare in negativo
quanto il mare sia profondo
e questa ruga che ho sul viso
è il tatuaggio di un dolore
io sono un sognatore.
Mi sono perso tra le stelle
e tra amori a buon mercato
ho toccato il fondo della libertà
c'è chi mi dice che son folle
o che sono fortunato
perché chi sogna delusioni non ne ha.
Forse sei stata tu la prima
la sola ipotesi di vita
forse continuo a dire forse
per non dire che è finita
le tue regole del gioco
le rispetto a malincuore
io sono un sognatore.
E vado via
ti lascio sulle labbra una poesia
quel che sarà
per questa vita che importanza ha.

e chi ha letto le mie carte
ha scoperto che un destino non c'è l'ho
e come fanno i sognatori
riesco a mettermi da parte
mentre il mondo mi continua a dire no.
Tra mille anni ci sarà
chi parlerà dei sognatori
come animali del passato
che mangiavano emozioni
Tra mille anni o tra due ore
ma lasciatemelo dire
io resto un sognatore.
E vado via
ti lascio sulle labbra una poesia
quel che sarà
per questa vita che importanza ha.
E vado via
là dove il cielo scende
in fondo al mare
che vuoi che sia
se al mondo resto solo
un sognatore.
